Dominate the most unforgiving environments with the McRae Terassault T1 Hot Weather Coyote Combat Boot (8177). Designed to exceed standard-issue military footwear, this premium tactical boot is proudly 100% USA-made and strictly Berry Amendment compliant. Manufactured in the required Coyote Brown, it is fully AR 670-1 and AFI 36-2903 authorized for active-duty wear with the Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP) uniform for Army and Air Force personnel.
The core of this boot is the proprietary T1 Terassault bottom platform, developed jointly by McRae and Vibram®. This fuses a custom high-traction rubber outsole to a lightweight, low-density polyurethane midsole, reinforced with stitched toe and heel tabs to completely eliminate the risk of sole separation. Built specifically for rough terrain, the upper features highly specialized details like backward-facing forefoot seams to prevent snagging in thick brush, perforated ankle protection pods, and a padded collar with an Achilles tendon relief dip to enhance mobility during steep climbs.

Yes. The McRae 8177 is strictly Berry Amendment compliant, manufactured in the required Coyote Brown shade, and meets all AR 670-1 and AFI 36-2903 specifications. It is fully approved for active-duty wear with the Army and USAF OCP uniforms.
The T1 platform is built for maximum durability in rough terrain. It combines a lightweight, shock-absorbing midsole with a high-traction Vibram® rubber outsole. To prevent the sole from separating or peeling after heavy use, McRae physically stitches the toe and heel tabs directly into the leather upper.
Yes, they are designed specifically for hot weather. The upper utilizes highly breathable 1000 denier Cordura™ nylon to reduce weight and vent heat. Additionally, the boots feature perforated ankle pods and nylon-coated brass drainage vents to promote active airflow and rapid drying.
Standard combat boots have a stiff, straight collar that can dig into the back of your leg. The McRae 8177 features a V-shaped cutout (the tendon relief dip) at the back of the padded collar. This removes pressure from your Achilles tendon, making it much more comfortable to crouch, kneel, or climb.
