Built around Keen\'s dual-density, air-infused polyurethane LUFTCELL midsole, the Independence provides ultra-lightweight shock absorption all day long. Trustworthy, waterproof, full grain leather uppers surround comfortable linings and KEEN.DRY waterproof/breathable membranes to keep feet comfortable, dry, and protected. 15% lighter than standard steel toes, the boot\'s anatomically correct, asymmetrical carbon-fiber toes provide ASTM F2412-18 and F2413-18 M1/75 C/75 EH-rated protection at the worksite. Removable metatomical polyurethane footbeds under the feet work with the LUFTCELL midsoles to cushion and support feet over rough, uneven work surfaces, while lightweight nylon shanks boots midfoot support to resist foot fatigue through the day. Oil- and slip-resistant outsoles feature work-friendly 90° heels to provide great footing and functionality. These lightweight, high performance outsoles meet ASTM F1677-96 MARK II and ASTM F2913-19 SATRA non-slip testing standards to keep you on your feet.
