DESCRIPTION: A very rare and unique antique 9ct gold citrine intaglio spinner fob pendant, depicting a Griffin and the Latin phrase \"Trahit sua quemque voluptas\". The Latin phrase translates as \"Their own desire draws each person in\" or in other words \"Everyone should follow their own\". The citrine is genuine and natural, it has been hand carved and is from the Georgian era. The intaglio has then been mounted in a Victorian 9ct gold frame which is hallmarked for 1870. The item rotates as it should, it weighs approx. 8.70g and the size dimensions are in the later photos. PLEASE NOTE: The citrine has numerous chips to it, there are larger ones near the drill holes and some smaller ones on the edge and facets (see pictures/video). The gold mount is a little misshapen in areas but the arms are strong and hold the gemstone well. I\'ve altered the price accordingly.
