HOT ! Banded Agate and Silver Rivière Necklace

A unique vintage necklace. Fashioned during the 1920s or 1930s from Sterling silver, this rivière-style necklace is set with nineteen square cut banded agate tablets. Each tablet is slightly beveled at the corners and flat on the back. The agates are held in prong settings at each cardinal direction. The natural variations in the banded agates are visually pleasing, with notable similarity in colors and tones but quite a range of different patterns; some resemble cloud striations, others resemble hand-marbled paper. There is a 1” adjust at the back of the necklace, which fastens with a spring-ring style clasp. Some natural patina on the silver remains, which could be polished to a shinier finish should you choose.

More details:

15.5” long with 1” adjust; can be worn at 15.5” or 16.5” length. Banded agates are prong set at cardinal directions and each agate measures approximately 12mm across.
