Wiñay means to grow in Kichwa. The design of this necklace is inspired by the unique ways in which all natural growth happens. Energy emanates from each blue seedling through the carefully placed golden beads.
This product was made in Saraguro, Ecuador, by kichwa women who wear traditional necklaces in similar shape, but make new contemporary designs, advancing an indigenous aesthetic into a more sophisticated piece.
