Coffee has been cultivated in Panama’s highlands since the 19th century, where volcanic soil, high elevations, and a cool mountain climate create ideal conditions for producing some of the world’s most celebrated specialty coffees. In recent decades, Panama has gained global recognition through international competitions and auctions, particularly for its exceptional Geisha varieties known for their elegance, clarity, and refinement.
This coffee comes from the La Huaca plot of Hacienda Barbara in Renacimiento, Chiriqui a respected and award-recognized estate. Known for meticulous cultivation and quality-focused processing, the estate has built a strong reputation within the specialty coffee community and has seen recognition in Best of Panama competitions across various lots. Grown at elevations of approximately 1,450–1,650 masl and carefully washed to highlight structure and balance, this limited offering reflects the craftsmanship, terroir, and prestige that define high-elevation Panamanian coffee.
