Detailed information on EL MACHETE - 14K GOLD

The machete is considered a powerful symbol across all of Latin America, especially in the Hispanic Caribbean. Historically, the machete was the most popular tool for harvesting sugar cane, but conversely also served as the weapon of choice for slave rebellions and worker uprisings. A tool, but also a weapon, the machete serves as a symbol in the fight for equality.

“The machete” in solid 14 karat gold is a piece you will have for life. Nearly all of the gold on Earth came from meteorites that bombarded the planet over 200 million years after it formed. Since ancient times, gold has been the most prized metal for jewelry making. The most noble of metals, gold never loses its shine and and resists degradation by air, moisture, or acidic conditions.

Please note that prices vary with chain length. Chain is a 1.8mm Hollow Box Chain in solid 14k. \"La Moneda\" measures 20mmx20mm (Similar dimensions to a U.S. penny) with a 2mm bail.

Each piece is made-to-order using the ancient “Lost Wax” casting technique. Please allow 1-2 weeks for production. To see what chain length is right for you, see the \"Sizing Chart\" section.
