HOT ! Vintage Silver Yemeni Bracelet with Bosses

This is a substantial silver Yemeni Bracelet from Hajjah region called khus msek and worn by northern Yemeni tribes. It is C-shaped and has two rows of bosses. It is likely from the second half of the 20th century and features impressive embossed patterns on the inside. The ends are twisted back in a very definitive fashion and two pairs of spherical dangles hang from loops at either end of the bracelet. The bracelet is meant for a slender wrist (see dimensions below) and does not 

A scratch test shows that the bracelet is made of silver. Overall in good vintage condition though somewhat out of round. There is a similar bracelet in the Quai Branly Museum\'s collection (71.1972.49.54). 

• The inner circumference is 16.2 cm (6 3/8\"), including a 2 cm (3/4\") gap.


• The diameter is 5.5 cm (2 1/8\").
