The S211 cut is a relaxed tapered featuring a higher rise, room in the thigh, and a strong taper below the knee. This version is made from Samurai’s 18oz AI Plus selvedge denim, a rope-dyed indigo x indigo yarn that uses both natural and synthetic indigo. The warp threads are a high-twist yarn that’s rough and uneven, while the weft is a slubby yarn that partly contains “Samurai Cotton,” which is hand grown and knitted in Japan. The end result is a denim that is deep indigo and full of slubby and neppy character. The cherry on top is the selvedge line, which is made from the same indigo-dyed warp yars, and will fade with wear and wash.
